Happy Saint Patrick's Day from CPD!

In honor of Saint Patrick's day, Club Penguin Declassified has changed it up a little bit. First, the big stuff, which you noticed immediately. There's a green background, with shamrocks! Also, the sidebar is on the left instead of the right, now. A new theme was adopted, which, among other things, puts the page links, previously on a bar above the posts, onto tabs right next to them.

Now that we've covered the big changes, it's time for the small ones to shine. First of all, the posts are now 70 pixels wider than before. Also, a different font is used in the header and a few other places on the website. Now, posts made on the same day are separated instead of all on one block. Another change is that the labels are now in list form instead of in a cloud group.

I've decided to share a bit of the history and celebrations of the day with you. Saint Patrick is a patron saint of Ireland. Saint Patrick's day commemorates his bringing Christianity to Ireland. In the 17th century, Saint Patrick's day was made an official feast day. The reason that the shamrock is used to represent the saint and Ireland is that, in legend, Saint Patrick used the shamrock to convert the Irish to Christianity. The theory that Saint Patrick drove actual live snakes out of Ireland is wrong; he really drove out the snake symbols that many Irish worshiped. There were never really any snakes in Ireland. Some say the reason that Saint Patrick's day is celebrated on March 17th is that it was the day that he died.

I hope that all of you penguins have a fantastic Saint Patrick's day!
